KLP og GES inviterer til seminar: Addressing ESG risks in food and fisheries
Time: Thursday 14th of June, 8:00 – 10:30
Place: KLP, Dronning Eufemias gate 10, Oslo
With a rapidly increasing global population, and an expanding middle class, the food sector faces ever-increasing demands for greater production and efficiency. The sector has opportunities to contribute to economic and social development in local communities worldwide, but there are also many sustainability challenges. In this two-part seminar we will explore key ESG risks associated with investments in food agriculture and fisheries and discuss approaches to risk mitigation.
Join experts from GES International, International Cocoa Initiative and Fish Tracker Initiative in a dialogue facilitated by KLP, to share ideas and knowledge on some of the challenges and potential solutions.

Child labour and forced labour are persistent problems in the supply chain of many food commodities. Where are these risks most prevalent and severe? How can investors contribute to the promotion of best practice and the mitigation of such risks among agricultural workers and small-scale farmers?
